This is the Aged Limited Edition, the cakes have been aged for 2 years. The ageing process has enhanced the tobacco by mellowing the Virginias which brings out more of the natural sugars. This in turn has created a change to the flavour producing now a rich dark pudding with meadow notes.

Samuel Gawith Full Virigina Flake is a straight Virginia flake. No toppings, no casings (well, minimal). Just high-quality Virginia leaf doing its thing.
Tin note: Open the tin and you get that classic Virginia smell—hay, citrus, earthy notes, and a deep fruity sweetness that reminds a lot of people of raisins, plums, or dried figs.
The smoke: Once you get it going, the star of the show is sweetness. Clean, natural cane sugar sweetness. As you puff along, it deepens into bread, toast, a little nuttiness, and that signature “Lake District” essence—a faint, soapy/floral thing that SG and Gawith Hoggarth are known for. Some guys love it, others find it weird. Personally, I think it adds character.
Nicotine: Medium on strength, low-to-medium on the nic hit. Smooth and mellow.
